Bolted Connection

This is another commonly used joining process in metal structure building engineering. Since there are two types of link bolts used in the construction of steel structures: ordinary bolts and high-strength bolts, the bolt connection process is usually divided into two types. Ordinary bolts in metal buildings are generally long-term connecting bolts, and the quality requirements for bolts are relatively high. Therefore, before tightening, the bolt heads and nuts must be checked for tight fit with the surface of the structural parts and the washer. Avoid affecting the quality of the project due to unqualified material quantity or quality.

The connection method of high-strength bolts is different from that of ordinary bolts. It can be divided into three types: friction connection, tension connection and pressure connection. Friction connection is more commonly used in metal structure buildings. Before the construction of high-strength bolts, it should be noted that the contact surface of the bolt must be cleaned first to ensure that the contact friction surface is clean, and the anti-slip coefficient of the friction surface of the bolt should be checked and calibrated. In the construction process of bolted connections in steel structure construction projects, attention should be paid to ensure that each connection can only be carried out after the position is calibrated, and each node must be consistent. The torque method and the angle method can be selected according to the actual situation in the process of bolt connection fastening.
