Installation of 135x50m large span industrial warehouse in Mozambique
Recently, the large-scale modern industrial warehouse project in Mozambique, managed entirely by Canglong Group, has successfully completed the shipment of all materials. High-precision installation is currently underway at the project site in Africa. This project integrates architectural design, precision structural manufacturing, cross-border multimodal transport, and remote installation guidance, representing another benchmark project for Canglong Group’s robust digital engineering supply chain in the East African industrial and commercial construction sector.
Large-Span Portal Frame Design Scheme
This large span industrial warehouse project has a total length of 135 meters, a total width of 50 meters, an eave height of 6.5 meters, and a single building area of nearly 7,000 square meters. To meet the high-throughput flow requirements of heavy industrial warehousing while ensuring structural safety and maximizing steel usage, Canglong Design Institute tailored a highly efficient composite rigid frame scheme.
25-meter Double-Span Double-Slope Design: Addressing the massive 50-meter width, the scheme employs a scientific layout with 25-meter spans and a central row of steel columns. This large-span design ensures efficient forklift and heavy material handling while perfectly mitigating the structural deformation risks associated with the large span.
Vertical Rigid Connection of Truss Beams to Columns: A highly innovative design utilizes heavy-duty steel truss beams vertically connected to the central steel columns in the center of the roof. Truss structures naturally possess excellent spatial stiffness and resistance to bending and torsion, evenly distributing roof loads to the foundation and perfectly withstanding the sudden onslaught of strong storms and heavy rainfall along the East African coast.
Q355B H-beams and Fully Galvanized Substructure
Mozambique has a typical tropical savanna and tropical monsoon climate, characterized by high temperatures and abundant rainfall year-round. Canglong selected structural materials that meet corrosion resistance and seismic resistance standards.
Heavy-duty frame matrix: The main beams and columns bearing the building’s load are all made of high-tensile, low-alloy Q355B grade premium H-beams. Before leaving the factory, they undergo rigorous shot blasting and multiple coats of heavy-duty zinc-rich anti-corrosion primer to completely eliminate the risk of rust.
Highly corrosion-resistant substructure: The roof and wall purlins are all made of high-thickness galvanized C-beams with precision C-NC punching. The dense galvanized layer forms a dual physical and electrochemical immune barrier, ensuring structural stability throughout the building’s entire lifespan.
Digitalized Manufacturing, 100% Prefabricated
To help the client completely overcome the challenges of Mozambique’s lack of high-precision equipment, uncontrollable labor costs, and wastage, Canglong Group implemented a fully closed-loop, all-in-one delivery model.
All steel structure components, including the main steel structure, secondary structure, anchor bolts, high-strength shear bolts, gutters, and a complete set of maintenance and edging accessories, are 100% manufactured in a smart factory in China, undergoing fully automated robotic welding and CNC precision punching.
Upon arrival at the Mozambique construction site, the on-site construction team, referring to the 3D BIM digital construction drawings, performs rigid bolt assembly like assembling industrial building blocks, eliminating the need for on-site welding and secondary cutting.
