Installation of pre-engineered steel house

As the basic work of the project, steel structure installation is also a key work. The installation should not only successfully complete the project task, but also ensure the error rate, which is a great test for a project. Then we will answer the matters needing attention in the installation of pre-engineered steel house.

1. Positioning measurement

Recheck the horizontal elevation, axis and column spacing of the foundation according to the design data. Mark the cross lines of the vertical and horizontal axes on the top surface of the foundation as the positioning datum for installing the column.

2. Column installation

In order to eliminate the influence of errors in column length manufacturing on column elevation, before hoisting, measure 1m downward from the upper plane of the corbel as the section of theoretical elevation, and mark obvious marks as the benchmark for adjusting column elevation. On the upper surface of the column base plate, mark the cross lines of vertical and horizontal axes passing through the column center as the datum for column installation and positioning. During the installation of pre-engineered steel houses, the cross lines on the column and the foundation shall be overlapped. The elevation of the column shall be corrected with a level gauge based on the mark at the theoretical elevation on the column, and then the cushion block shall be used to pad and tighten the foundation screws. Then use two theodolites to correct the verticality of the column from the two axis directions, and use double nuts to tighten the bolts after meeting the requirements. For the column of a single unstable structure, temporary protective measures can be taken by adding wind cables. For columns designed with inter column support, the inter column support can be installed to enhance the structural stability.

3. Installation of crane beam

Before the installation of the pre-engineered steel house crane beam, it should be checked and installed when the deformation does not exceed the limit. After the single crane beam is hoisted in place, it shall be timely connected with the bracket with bolts, and the connecting plate between the upper edge of the beam and the column shall be connected. The leveler and theodolite shall be used for alignment and adjustment, and the bolts shall be tightened after meeting the requirements.

4. Roof beam installation

Members of roof beam shall be inspected before assembly on the ground. When the deformation of the component does not exceed the limit, the friction surface of high-strength bolt connection is free of sediment and other debris, and the friction surface is confirmed to be flat and dry, it can be assembled on the ground. During assembly, oil-free sleepers shall be used to pad the members, and the two sides of the members shall be supported by wooden bars to enhance stability. The assembly of the roof beam of the prefabricated steel structure house takes the two columns as a unit. After the unit is spliced, the following inspection shall be carried out:

  • Straightness of beam.
  • The spacing dimension of bolt holes connected with other components (such as column).
  • Tighten the high-strength bolts after the adjustment and inspection meet the requirements.

5. Accessory installation

Roof purlins and wall purlins shall be installed at the same time. Before the installation of steel structure house purlins, the deformation of components shall be checked, and if it exceeds the limit, it shall be treated, and the oil stain and sediment on the surface of components shall be removed. Hoist several purlins as a group, and check the purlin slope after the installation of one span. The straightness of purlins shall be controlled within the allowable deviation range, otherwise, the connecting bolts shall be used for adjustment.

6. Re inspection, adjustment, welding and paint repair

After the hoisting is completed, all components shall be rechecked and adjusted to meet the planning requirements, and then on-site welding shall be carried out to repair the damaged parts of component paint.
